I have been to Cuba two times. Once in 2011 and another time in 2014.
Communism is fucking horrible. I even went on a tour and the tourguide was clearly a paid shill trying to sell us Canadians, Brits and other Euros on how communism is good. Not to pay any heed to the criticizers because they are just lazy people taking advantage of communism.
The stores are full if empty shelves and the ones that are stocked are stocked with one thing and one brand. Youll go buy one entire rack of dill pickles two empty racks and then 4 racks of Nestle baby formula and then more empty racks. Then suddenly another rack full of cereal and the same type. Meat shelves empty. The lineups are huge and slow. No one drives. There are a select number of drivers and car owners. Most people use the public transportation and its shit. The people are assigned homes and its a little shitshack made out of mud and stucco with terrible rod iron. There is zero architectural beauty here.
