I had to stop going to my local cafe because the guy serving my coffee was very obviously gay. There's no way for me to know if he attends gay orgies or has sex with strangers like a lot of these people spreading monkeypox reportedly do, but it just isn't worth the risk for a coffee or take out from a restaurant.
This was never an issue for me before. Even HIV isn't spread through surface contact like monkeypox, so it never bothered me.
But now, strictly from a perspective of personal safety, if I see this LGBTQ friendly icon in Google maps or if an employee handling my food is obviously gay, I'm not going there. Even hospitals can't prevent surfaces from being contaminated with monkeypox.

As somebody who is not religious and doesn't really care what type of degeneracy other adults participate in, I have to draw the line of tolerance at the point where their degeneracy poses a risk to the health of others. Considering the stigma that was applied to people who did not get the covid vaccine, with the motivation for such ostracization coming from claims, later proven false, that the unvaccinated somehow posed a greater risk of spreading infection, there is really no ethical foundation to object to such scrutiny being applied in this case where these people provably pose a greater risk of spreading infection. Before anyone jumps to prioritize the effect that this stigma will have on gay people, keep in mind that gay people are not only victims of their own behavior, but they have in turn put others at risk of being victims of their behavior. This threat is not dismissed by acknowledging that only a percentage of gay men are engaging irresponsible acts of gay sex with multiple people. I don't know what that percentage is, but it is clearly commonplace enough for thousandsbof gay men to be infected in a very short time. I'm actually astounded by how much more common this appears to be than I had previously thought.
