Most men pick a code that is easy to do with one hand and I'm assuming right handed.
6 digits complicates it somewhat but the obvious starting point is important dates. Birthdays, years, gamertag numbers, membership numbers, pin numbers.
Iirc you get a limited number of guesses before the phone nukes itself so write down your brainstorming session and apply what you know about the person
Additionally, start by cracking their other accounts. Get into their Facebook, Twitter, email, YouTube, Google, instagram, etc. Start mining for data through the much more easily penetrated avenues.
There are so many fucking passwords nowadays that everyone repeats their passwords somewhere. And these accounts are far more forgiving when it comes to forgetting passwords. Ideally you want to guess original passwords and then apply that in bulk to all other accounts.
