I was taught that shit in a majority black school in the 3rd grade at 8 years old by a black teacher. It was ominous, I could feel the childlike comradeship fading as we were divided. Are britbongs taught about this and at such a young age?
I've questions for both britbongs and Americans regarding slavery?

I was fairly neutral about it I think, but I remember the black kids were upset, and the experience did increase division between black kids and white kids.
I remember, I had a black friend at that time.... one day, shortly after the slavery lessons, he was crying and yelling because he thought I, and another white kid, had called him "nigga-los" (his name was nicholas). Of course that hadn't happened, but it's still kind of funny.

I was in seventh grade when I learned about slavery and how it affected black people. I had been mingling with black people for 10 years before I went to the US and it was the first time I’ve experienced racism. I didn’t think anything of it because my skin color is very much like y’all whites. Through my entire high school experience I’ve only been strong armed by adults because I was raised to respect adults and do what they tell me to do. What I never understood is why these blacks let people talk to them like they do. A teacher tried to get witty with me about my heritage so I checked him. Asked him if his skin color had something to do with his baldness. Didn’t even get disciplined for it, dude just shrugged it off because I’m just a shitty little kid. I’ve always checked everyone who ever said anything about my ethnicity. White people get so mad when you imply that they’re racist without actually saying it.
