Why are Americans so against prostitution while Europeans openly embrace it?

In europe prostitutes mean hot young ukranian girls for $100 an hour. In US prostitution means $300 an hour for a fat druggie in her 40s. $500 for a decent looking one in her late 20s. $800 for a banging 20 year old. Getting a whore just isn't that appealing here.
