Very little going on in the state as a whole.
Old, white population except in Portland and certain areas around southern Maine. Very little exists once you get past Bangor, except maybe along the coast, but for the most part is just forests.
Little to do outside of the few urban areas, like Portland. Not really a great state for younger people, most tend to dip down into New Hampshire and Mass for entertainment. The few young people who stay here tend to be simple, stupid, and slutty, probably because they're so fucking bored. State perpetually lives 10-15+ years behind technologically.
Not all bad, pretty chill state as a whole. Most people lean conservative and just want to be left alone. Population is mostly armed, religion is healthy enough, most people are friendly and generous to lend a hand. If you're someone who likes nature its a great place.
Haven't spotted any Wendigos yet, though that native bullshit hits different when you look outside and see deep forests, or look through a window at night as the moon lights up a field and you can see where the treeline turns everything pitch black. Spooky.

Maine was a great state when I visited almost a decade ago. Beautiful, clean cities, and I didn't see a single nigger or brown my entire time there.
