Eating at night is bad, but the momentary reward usually outweighs the risk and the moral consequences of that action. Murdering a man for sexual gratification, even if it would be pleasurable to the person considering it, is, in most cases, off the table, and not even because of moral concerns but because of an inherent sense of "wrongness" of that action. Your walk-by shootings are usually regarded as being beyond that "wrongness" threshhold.
