I was a CID agent when I was active duty, fucking garbage. Butt touches are investigated as sexual assaults, including situations when the butt of an M4 accidently touches a female soldier's butt when marching in front of them. You'll never get that shit off your record either and it happens all the time (goodbye security clearance). Every agent I worked with who had brains wanted the fuck out.
Tons of reasons not to join, but I would say the cancel/metoo culture is a much bigger threat and will be much more likely to take you out than an explosive.
