Sorry senpai, all of the west is fucked for a long time. Like what always happens with a complex civilization collapse, it takes money and man power to uphold. Those who are capable are not reproducing and are being replaced with barbarians. Our politicians have looted the treasury to further their own personal agendas at the cost of the productive tax payers. Now is the decline and the American dream is dead. Hope you are ready to be financially forced into a shoe box where you barely make enough to be able to afford to work. The only escape from this hell is to escape your society. Its the natural cycle of things, its not really anything your could have done to avoid unless you had money to spend to begin with.

But to give you actual advice. Make sure you take as much cash as possible out of your bank account. You do not want to be the poor sap waiting in line during the bank runs. Buy physical assets, things that hold their value. Stock up on some none perishable food, as much as you can store. Start a garden if you can and start learning how to fix things. Well I am stockpiling rice and beans with deliveries each month so that’s something
I feel like I’ve actively been at either a 7 or 8 for the past year. With the only thing keeping me okay is not wanting my mum to be sad if I die or lesving my cats alone
I do have family but they live a while away. If things break down I could just trek over to them but it’d take a few days.
