Interstellar space is pretty fucking big and Oumaumau is moving so slow it would take tens of thousands of years just to reach Earth from the distance of the nearest star, and it wasn't even coming from that direction. More likely, it has been in interstellar space for millions of years. So did the aliens accurately predict our planet would have a civilization by the time the probe reached our solar system?

Even if a comet was going 10× faster than Oumaumau, if it got close to the sun, the low temperature material would still boil off and as the material boils off, it would push against the comet. I don't see how moving at even 870 km/s let alone 87 km/s would change the laws of physics and keep the celestial body from being pushed by outgassing.
