you're 100% correct bongfren and today, I have completely adapted that mindset. but at that time, I was fresh out of highschool, in a military family looking to join myself from '01-'03 (dodged the fucking bullet by not qualifying) but it was the propaganda of that day that vaccinated me against the propaganda today. I remember how stupid I was and I see how stupid everyone is being over covid and state lies. and I just remove myself.
The war in Iraq was FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR less astroturfed than the coof. Iraq was like a year from after 9/11 to the March invasion, compared to the coof which is still not fucking dead and china is imploding because of it. Hush up and let me have my win.
The important thing is to not let it happen again. When the government gets to control the narrative, they can manipulate the public into supporting actions that go against their real interests. If neets and autists were gathering on the internet talking about things in the early 2000's, maybe the media wouldn't have had such an easy time somehow convincing 70% of Americans that Saddam was responsible for 9/11, and, uhm... anthrax or something. Though he was still a terrible man don't get me wrong.
also paid time off, paid sick leave, paid holidays, a 401k, very minimal people interaction, apprenticeship program availability, as well as a good health/life plan? just for fixing broken stuff sometimes? while having a loving wife and family to welcome me home and spend the weekends with? damn...I guess I'll take my L
>Saddam was terrible I'm not even so sure anymore, but we may never know. it's not my business and it never should have been. All I know is I'm sick of grabass wars. my new adapted mindset is 'shit or get off the pot' either we go in to kill our enemy with the fury of a thousand storms like orangeman did salami, and gtfo. or we let it be. no more 5-20 year wars with 80 billion in parting gifts for the side we'd been fighting
