I experienced this myself when I was studying Islam. I really appreciated Islam because of Shariah, and it made me question my Christian belief. This was within my journey of the years studying religion, reading Guenon, Evola, Eliade, etc. Looking back, I feel so foolish for thinking like that, I also re-joined the Christian life (I’ve been Christian all my life, never proposed any religious creeds that weren’t Christian, so no I’m not an apostate.)
