For me it's the Stanley FUBAR FatMax. At 8 1/2 pounds, it's a combination wrench, sledge hammer, pick, and crowbar. Made of one piece of forged stainless steel, it retails for an affordable $39.99.
I like the idea of a sledgehammer but it would be so unwieldy. Probably a hatchet or axe to be practical.

>i can see myself in a scenario where i could use this But you'll never be in a scenario where you can use that. stop entertaining fantasy, and buy a Mora, a toolbox, a fishing rod, and a sleeping bag. Keep them in your car, it'll be as adventurous as things will ever get.
A... Katana. Of course, this is the only correct answer. In any scenario where I have to defend myself or the honour of a fair lady, the only tool I would trust is a high carbon steel blade forged with traditional methods, folded and hammered a thousand times to rid any impurities within - just like I would rid the impurities that oppose me. A ronin, like myself, would choose nothing else.
