i was put up for adoption and while in foster care as an infant an MD administered what was called an infant IQ test which is basically testing your reaction to stimuli and simple problem solving. I was given a 167 and the Dr.'s handwritten notes stated I'd certainly be placed in "Gifted and talented" classes when entering school... there were no such classes .. nearest i recall were Advanced Placement classes in HS did I get gypped or spared?

Adversity causes us to focus. If you have hidden potential, put it to use. Be more proactive and create something beautiful and great. It could be a business, or something else. Uncommon people are the ones who become leaders. Leaders are not common, they do not follow the pack, they lead it.
That was not a claim that all or any /x/ phenomena are real. It was a claim that GATE/TAG kids often go through a phase of intense interest in these subjects. Your hostility and inability to comprehend what you have read show that you do not belong here.

this one made me laugh. But I knew a few kids in GATE who didn't match those characteristics. Although they were all hyper intelligent and a bit weird in ways.

I've had so many I think I'm getting to the point of actually believing in quantum death. I've hit my head on concrete multiple times and only suffer concussions. I've dove straight into the shallow end of a pool onto my head and nothing happened. I've done this twice, where I truly mean my neck should not possibly exist in a normal form. I've been in many fights and I never once pass out from a hit, and have taken three good punches to the face. I don't feel the pain, it does nothing man. The closest to death I ever been was having appendix rupture and it went septic. For an entire week I was in the hospital on IV medication. That was the closest to death I've ever felt. It just felt like my normal body weighed so much. Like, I felt so, so, so heavy... and in that moment I remember it feeling okay if I just floated on. What's weird is as I'm typing this the sound in my right ear has started to deafen to a lower tone as if the air around me got denser.
Are we all farmed from the same DNA then? Or have you ever had dreams or visions of your DNA being modified? I've been in these programs too. I remember the IQ tests, the flash cards, a Rorschach test as well, along with the headphones, the noises and tone deaf tones being played in each gray headphone earpiece, and also navigating a dot through a maze as fast as possible. The instructor encouraged me to take my time and focus. It seemed achieving focus was very much as important to them as achieving a high test result.
I have always looked at the triangle on my arm and wondered if others have it as well. But I never would have EVER imagined G.A.T.E. gifted Any Forums students would also bear this mark. This means something deeper man.

I remember is being taken into a room to be tested by a man who didn't work at the school. He made me do a puzzle with blocks that had triangles on their faces. The goal was to combine the cubes to make shapes with the triangles, and it was a trick puzzle because you had to reverse the colors of the triangles to get the shape.
Other than that all I remember in the class is doing some exercise with batteries and wires to get a light to turn on.

I was also hooked up to a machine to “test my hearing” despite not having any hearing issues. And i was put in Academically Talented. It felt like a containment zone for smart children, almost like they wanted to prevent us from red pilling ourselves. It was filled witj blue pill literature.

I was in the gifted program but I don’t think we called it G.A.T.E. I do have a clear memory of some very weird things taking place in the program, though. There was one outing we did to a NASA facility where the outreach coordinator kept telling us (sixth grade kids) about bizarre sexual topics. He told us that he impregnated his own mother when he was a child. That’s an odd thing to say to a group of kids. He also kept talking about “metal balls that go whack.” My memory of the incident is hazy. I’m pretty sure I didn’t get raped. I am, however, certifiably insane, so there could be something there. I am still friends with other kids who were in the program. All of us fit a similar mold: high IQ, high achieving, but hampered by mental illness (depression, alcoholism, bipolar, etc.).

I remember being interviewed for it out of junior high school because I got straight A's for two years straight. They said that I did well during the interview but never contact me again afterward. Nobody could tell me what the criteria was for the program or why they stopped talking to me.
You cannot even tell the difference between description and prescription. You're not even within 2 tiers of me, midwit. What you exhibit is called the "downing effect". That is, very stupid people are not actually able to recognize their own level because it is so low that they do not have the faculty to grasp it. Therefore, they end up thinking they are smart when they are not even in the arena.
