I think "The Shield Hero" is a good one, the history is about a guy who was accused of raping a woman.

Nevermind, i would suggest Legend of the Galactic Heroes. A very unique anime that act more than an historian documentary about an epic war in the far future, and the purging of degeneracy within society

As I said, I like Western animation more, because I'm more familiar to it. Anime is new to me, I want something more of a "western" anime if you catch my drift.

For me, althought it's not as popular nowadays as it was in the 90s, Slayers is good.
It's a commedy/fantasy anime that make fun of the typical Dungeons and Dragons sessions adventures, while being consistent with the internal worldbuilding.
Suggested if you like both traditional fantasy and humor
