i get why people say "scientism" is the new religion, but its really not. there has never been a major religion that just say "obey power" they all say, "here is the truth, here are the doctrines, here are the laws, this is the belief"

You're not looking at how scientism is structured if you cannot see it's a religion. It has the major churches, high priests, lower priests, it demands faith, and unquestioning loyalty. It's a total appeal to a higher authority completely equal to a religion.
