the thing about universal healthcare, beyond just being impractical and damaging is that it poses a philosophical question: "is it still morally altruistic to pay for the healthcare for someone else when I have no other choice?". The thing about this is that fundamentaly speaking, in an liberal individualist society (which they claim that we live in) I shouldn't be responsible for another person's healthcare, however, it is morally outstanding if I pay for it. Under universal healthcare,
1: how come I'm responsible for someone else's healthcare?
