2. Hard drives can crash. Burn to Blu-ray DVDs, a.k.a. BD-Rs. Costing about 75 cents each, each disk holds 24.5 GB. Can survive an EMP or a flood, unlike a hard drive.
3. How to download safely? Use Linux or NGMI. I use youtube-dl command line program for downloading youtube videos/channels. There are great archives of survival materials, medical books, gardening knowledge, etc.
