So... Is ADHD really real or fake?

>"Your child seems to exhibit childlike behaviour of joy and playfulness"
>"200mg daily of this will fix that"
>"That'll be 40 Shekels a month, forever"

ADHD is just a collection of behaviors that make it difficult to learn in a traditional school setting. So yes, in that sense, it does exist. I don't consider it a mental problem like schizophrenia though.

That's a gross oversimplification of the issue.

We've created a school system that rewards sustained attention/inhibition, strong processing speed, and strong working memory.

We've got two options to handle young people who are disinhibited, have weak processing speed, and/or weak working memory.

1. Society excludes them from the school system early, and give them an education specific to their limitations.
2. Society gives them a specific dose and variety of amphetamine that is proven to increase those specific limitations and allows them to function in the education system.

Like, nigger, joy and playfulness is routinely exhibited by young people without ADHD associated limitations. What the fuck are you on about, you lightswitch brained kraut?

Its fake, there is a pretty clear pipeline:
>Ritalin/Adderall really young because child will not behave
>SSRI/Wellbutrin in the high school years for depression and anxiety well what could have caused that
>Lithium/anti-psychotics after the person has a schizophrenic meltdown, it's not like SSRI's could push a person to that point
> welp son i guess it turns out you are mentally ill and it is totally genetic, nothing you can do! Totally not the result of a decade of poorly studied drugs for diseases that don't exist!

Whatever you do keep you and your loved ones away from psychiatrists. They try and get you young and rope you in for the rest of your life.

Wow it's almost like a lot of disorders are comorbid, and you've basically described the pipeline of a schizophrenic with or without the medication intervention.

What would your hypothetical (probably autobiographical) timeline have looked like without intervention?

ADHD is real

>berg
so many cases

but it should be treated by diet not drugs

That little mspaint job you did up top made one critically error. ADHD stands for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. and you wrote something about diseases. nobody with a medical degree next to their name would refer to ADHD as a disease.

ah yes it's either
A. let them fall behind
or
B. Drug them

Fiction his ass

"Limitations"
Thats your problem. You are limited in your thinking. Kek

adhd is VERY real

Says the guy on low dose meth to manage it

Real, but over diagnosed.

Conveniently this so called ADHD only appears when the kid has to do things he doesn't like. Concentrating on math homework for 5 minutes? No way, his ADHD makes it impossible. Concentrating on video games and tiktok for 8 hours? Absolutely no problem. What a load of bullshit.

Nigga what. The problem is the school system which has a group of C avg student teachers, teaching a jewish indoctrinate curiculum, which is so radically feminized that is causes half of the boys to get diagnosed with a made up disease as an excuse to drug them to sit quietly like a girl. Also the fluoridated water and estrogenized foods don't help.

a functioning society, with normal people. american schools are a catastrophic failure in terms of literacy and cognitive ability. your solution is to feed amphetamines to children so that they can fit in?

Dr. Alexander Huberman's podcasts on dopamine are more beneficial than ADHD meds.

>they say autism is real
>they also say autism isn't real
Which is it, you cripple-minded spastics?

Attention Deficit is caused by a deficit of attention (from the parents).

The child literally suffers from not getting real, look-them-in-the-eye attention from their parent.

took myself off at 17, same year the twin towers fell. coincidence? i think not

ADHD is typically a collection of behaviors exhibited by emotionally undeveloped and oversocialized\overstimulated children.
The former comes from what some would call "emotionally neglectful" parents but I think instead of settling with this label, it's better to think of the odd form of deprivation children are put in when their physical needs are met but their parents are not fulfilling their role in character development - usually due to physical absence (including working) and their own emotional immaturity from their own upbringing.
This is actually the cause of other "conditions" e.g. BPD, which usually comes from more severe emotional neglect from a self-absorbed mother towards a daughter, typically, as that bond plays a large role in emotional intelligence.
We aren't inherently born with a good understanding of our emotions. You don't always get "emotional" people from those who don't get a proper upbringing in which they learn emotional intelligence; you can even get people who straight up cannot recognize their own emotions at all because naturally if you were never asked to identify them, it makes sense you might not ever learn to.
Oversocialization and overstimulation comes from another odd deprivation in the face of abundance. The deprivation of free will, free movement, and sense of restriction in a social environment perceived as open and liberal. Like sitting in a desk all day but not being chained in place, or having the freedom to walk where you want but realistically having your ability to do so limited by the infrastructure of industrial society.
These are unseen and untold losses that are consistently present throughout life, causing a constant discomfort and neuroticism with no apparent cause. Because it's not like abuse for example, where the harm is obvious - it's nearly impossible to know what you don't have if you've never experienced anything else, and if these things aren't a matter of life and death.
