Have you read his book (The Alchemy of Finance)? How long do you intend to stay in JP? Need a business visa with invitation and schedule, which I can arrange, but rather around mid-Q4.

Just listened to the audiobook like 4 times over this past week Kek
>Japan Nice, 50/50 I’ll be there in Q4. Hammering out some visa shit rn
I’ll either be there for 3 years starting next week Or I’ll have to leave in November until March and stay for 2 years starting in April
>Just gotta divorce his Open Society Karl Popper cringe from it
Never understood how someone with a brain could buy into that. Even if I'd be completely cynical and assumed to just use it for its disruptive effects.
>4 times over this past week Any conclusions, implications, applications that are worth pointing out? I didn't have the time to read it yet. Re Japan, then Q2 '23 is a safer bet. That leaves us with enough time. Lunch around Roppongi Hills is on me.

I like(d) plenty of Popper's ideas. His open society interpretation has some useful elements (a framework of individual rights that allow/encourage individual decisions and critical thinking to challenge "common wisdom" [and traditions]) that I see usually neglected or oppressed in collectivist concepts.

Can even understand that, myself someone who doesn't really like to stick to any "doctrines", even if I see them more positive than anything. The problem I see with the "open society" approach isn't primarily the approach itself but its aim of mass application. Most are simply not suited for dealing with this and the end result is usually some confused relativism which produces nothing of value but is highly susceptible to any subversive element (which often have at least partially fallen prey to confused relativism) that might come along.
Basically, yes. Now you know the new trend is to ride your golf cart, 4wheeler, etc into town.
Christian Jones
>mass application >confused relativism >susceptible to any subversive element True. It's not for the masses; as you said, it's disruptive. Here are we again: libertarianism for the doers, socialism for the majority of followers. And yeah, mutual obligation and stuff... I know, fren.
What do you need to get one?
