It's quite weird how my path turned out. I graduated from a top 10 university in the world, but was depressed as fuck in the UK. I thought fuck it I'm just going to China and see what happens. Applied through a recruiter who specialises in education and getting foreigners into China. Originally I thought I would have to teach English to 4 year olds which I would have fucking despised but still thought that I needed to get out of here and leave. Then when I arrived they said they had a teaching position at an international high school teaching Physics (what my degree is in). This is due to the large amount of foreigners leaving China, a lot of good positions opened up. My degree definitely helped and made up for the lack of experience.
So I basically did that for this last semester and actually really enjoyed it, only taught people 15-18 years old, not annoying kids. Get paid a decent amount right now, seems like I have potential to get promotions and good career development.
Standard of living is infinitely better just because of the fact of how much sexual access I have compared to back home.
