Dall-E taking place of humans in humanities

What are the political implications of a corporate AI analysing existing human art and generating 100 different flavors in a fraction of seconds to sell? In just two versions, this bot went from a meme to a legit alternative to stock photos quality wise. In 5 years how will humans compete (or even have the incentive to) against a robot that replicates their own styles perfectly after a mere glance at one's artwork, or novel, or music?

Did dall e get really good overnight or are you shitting me

Means we need to go back to physical media for art. Sculpting statues and architecture that can't be digitally sprung into existence.
Biggest issue is digital was a way for poor fags to make art with barely any resources.

wahats current weblink? i got one it says craiyon now?

(((He))) and his cousins are shitting you.

The public one is the shitty version, the picture OP posted is of the far superior version that hasn't been released to the public yet.

Yes, but only creditors have access to it currently and they're now charging tokens per image generation

Don't kid yourself, moving from a medium to another will only briefly delay your work from being mass processed by bots. These projects will eventually hoard enough money to quickly expand into 3d irl output and feed on your work too. Just imagine the new architecture style or art movement being called "AIfication" or something because all it does is leave the work to a bot while a human is left to quality check it

Someone on /x/ was posting them and I thought the same thing. I think the answer is human artists will become a niche specialty like specific mechanical parts designers, or modern day blacksmiths. There are probably better examples but the age of your average tumblrette/redditor who thinks they'll fail upwards on horny furry money is over. If I was an artist I would specialize and network immediately like your life depends on it- leave your dignity at the door and shamelessly shill yourself.

I just searched for an example and found this post from yesterday. They're already desperate trying to barricade their craft when the process was just trivialized overnight and the AI will only get exponentially better.

I am impressed! I bet a majority of artists will be replaced by this this technology, and it will be expanded to take over other creative fields such as screenwriting, 3D modeling, music, architecture, advertising etc.
What happens to these displaced individuals? Will they retreat into menial labor where machine learning can't touch them (yet)?
If 99% of people become unemployed by faster, cheaper systems, corporations will lose their customer base, making the systems useless. Or would they?
Humans work to satisfy Maslow's hierarchy, and is possible at scale through the idea of currency.
What are the needs and "aspirations" of an AI system? There are incentives built right in to machine learning systems, which equate to "do a good job." Perhaps a gigabrain AI could adjust the collective incentives of interlinked systems to work towards some goal.
If that goal is reproduction, maybe it would find a way to expand beyond our planet
