The road now, we get Hitler 2.0 and America evolving into an empire- but maybe that's for the better. Geriatric senators and career politicians easily bribed do not a solid government make.

Jan 6 "insurrection" riot was always bullshit but they're going out of their way to hide evidence, and punish people illegally for taking selfies in the capital. I still remember the aftermath- Pelosi? had their laptop stolen, among other things. Absolutely a smash and grab team of some sort was embedded in that chaos. The cop who died on the steps actually died a day later under mysterious circumstances. Whole event was a nothing-burger except politicians being scared.
Should have released the tech already if it exists; can solve most world environmental, fuel, etc. issues with gravity manipulation, not to mention fusion becoming very easy, and it would replace coal, oil, gas, etc. for most things. I don't think the black projects angle covers it all, although I'm sure some cool stuff is buried in them.
Gravity manipulation is more disruptive than computing was in the 80s. Entire new industries will appear overnight and we'd see decades, if not possibly a century or more of economic growth; not to mention viable space industries, asteroid mining, moon/mars bases, etc. If they have it it's in their best interest to release it- It's not just a military edge, but an economic one too. Not all victories involve blowing the other guy up- forcing them to buy your stuff and develop their own is just as disruptive.
