My guess is that once all the late millennials like myself start trying to plant roots something may change. I'm 27 and most people I know are still renting or finishing specialized schools. I would honest to god look into building your own house and just buying land. Cob homes cost around 30-60k depending on how much work you do yourself and last quite sometime. If you have the know how you can slake lime and lime wash it, or make a kiln and just fire bricks.
