Lots of mothers chase the diagnosis for attention/excuse for not parenting and doctors are happy to diagnosis it because they receive kickbacks from therapies and programs for autistic kids. Possibly this here. Same with ADD and ADHD. I work with a women who it would seem really wants to diagnosis her son with some disorder. He’s just a normal active aggressive boy. But aggression and be rambunctious is stomped out. Our culture prioritizes girl traits. following rules, being quiet, listening to authority, cooperative play. When boys don’t fit the mold they get diagnosed and medicated. We forgot how to raise boys.
