Germany had, at the time, the second biggest industrial capacities in the whole world, just a few percent shy of the US, the 3rd largest GDP and the highest scientific output in total
1. Germans lost 80% of their casualties in the Eastern front.
2. Russian losses were only extremely high during operation Barbarossa because they were caught completely off guard during a reformation because of Stalin's incompetence. In 1943 after the battle of Kursk German and Soviet losses had reached parity, meaning one Russian dead for every one German. And then after operation Bagration Germans were suffering far higher casualties than the Russians,
3- Most importantly, Germans killed most Soviet POWs because they considered them not human and unoworthy of life, whereas the death rate of German prisoners in Russia was 15% (compared to death rate of German prisoners in US hands which was 5%). So that's a core reason why Soviet casualties are so much higher.
