There are HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of acres of green shit they grow, and have canals and aquaducts all over the desert using Colorado River water to water the crops. You cant imagine how many miles and miles of canals and concrete ditches they have and MILES of water lines with sprinklers over the fields. This are has a normal humidity level around 20% which means i would guess 30% of the water they use to water the crops evaporates in the air and on the ground before it can soak in. The fuckin dumbasses picked the WORST place to grow crops in terms of location, soil, and water availability, and decided "yeah lets make our farms here"

Guess you are not from the south west either.... Most golf courses in AZ only water the tees and greens during the summer and let the fairways and rough dry out. Most high end golf courses drill their own wells and water the grass with pumps out of ponds they fill from the well. The ponds and waterscapes add to the attractiveness of the golf course, the wells they drilled keep the ponds full, they pump water out of the ponds on the grass.

They do this, because watering a golf course on standard water system would cost too much. No golf course could afford the water bill if they were hooked to city water or municipal water systems. Drive in southern cali and Arizona right now, you will see almost every fairway on every golf course is burnt, very rare do you see a golf course that waters their whole course thru the summer, it takes a shit ton of water and most of them conserve on their own. The farms in southern cali do not, them fuckers water every day...
