I'm a public school teacher in a city with slightly higher population than Miami Florida
This is really only a problem in urban areas because population size dictates classrooms have around 32-35 students. Hit up teacher forums and you see people lamenting about finding a job in rural areas across the country.
No meaningful education can happen in a classroom size that exist in all cities and most suburbs. You're essentially just putting out fires for 45 minutes until the next class comes in.
Couple that with the new "wow" factor of education being "student led learning" wherein you're meant to leave students alone for most of the class period so they can "find the answers out for themselves" (in reality dick around on laptops that don't work half the time) and we're sending students up to high school who cannot add or subtract whole digit numbers accurately, write in complete sentences, or read for prolonged periods of time.
It's why I'm a Special Education Teacher, it means that I have a class size of 9 or less. It blows my mind that people would willingly sign up to work a job where they have to manage kids in groups as large as 35.

there isnt. its just clickbait bullshit. its like the food shortage or the water shortage. you wouldnt even know about it if the media didnt tell you about it. if there are too few teachers, you can pay them more to attract more applicants, or ease requirements to become a teacher. the reason why teachers are 'low-paid' (and they arent actually low-paid if you bother looking up the median figures) is that so many people are willing to be teachers. and they are willing because its an easy-ass job with like 15 weeks of vacation and good hours and no physical demands and state benefits and decent social clout. stop buying into the bullshit narrative.

I teach elementary school. I am male. Its great. Not enough men in education. Its very female. I suspect this is why women are outperforming men at university level. Boys are screwed because everything is designed and taught by women. They don't understand the little boys at all and basically think boys should act like girls to 'behave properly'. Also there are a lot of gay people who think it's super important to teach 5 year olds about butt sex. I'd say grade 1 is probably too young to learn about deep anal fisting and suckling on dicks.
