Now that the dust has settled was it necesary? Do you use it in your day to day life? I knew people that had talent but dropped out school because couldn't keep up with this thing. One of then became a professional football player and other one became a local politician.
In my opinion algebra should be taught but not considered mandatory to graduate, it's useless in real life.
Algebra is def necessary. I failed a finance exam to secure my job and also failed calculus in college. Most people won’t use anything higher than algebra

the world simply does not make sense without algebra, geometry, calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, combinatorics, some for of literature theory and quantum mechanics. it is possible to teach all these things by 8th grade and the reason we fail to do so is because the Department of Education is structured to produce factory shift workers.

As a software developer, most everything you do in object oriented programming is literally abstract algebras... so, yea.
Andrew Baker
Calculus doesn't even make sense without algebra.

Don't use it at all but it was aight. Numbers are pretty powerful stuff.
Parker Cox
you use algebra every day paco, ever day when you pay your fucking shit and decide which different denomination of bills and coins to use is fucking algebra. IMAGINE GETTING FILTERED BY NORMAL ALGEBRA NOT EVEN LINEAR.

Same. Trig is way more important than people give it credit for. And you need to understand algebra to do it.
Robert King
Yes, I use math often; without algebra I would not be wealthy.
Colton Green
