So a few months ago I did the timeline of events to get some peace of mind on the reasons the war started I shared it with both /chug/ and /uhg/.
/Chug/ added it to the OP and /ugh/ trannies just shat on it because it made Ukraine look bad and didn't have any info on Ukraine's side. Obviously missing the point, because Ukraine wasn't the one to invade. 4 months have passed and the trannies haven't even done a timeline, just have a couple of links to twitter and a kike singing their anthem.
I want to ask both sides what they genuinely think: >made Russia invade. >antagonized Russia. >Why didn't Ukraine prepare to defend itself when they already knew they were going to get attacked before even russia even knew it. >Any other point you think is relevant
They did prepare, big time Russian TV showed pictures of giant ammunition depos and massive bunker lines
I would say, it was a real decision for Putin He drew a red line No NATO in Ukraine. End of discussion. They did anyways, he can't let this happen, it's vital interests for Russia, he invaded.
Henry Stewart
it was NOT* a real decision

1. Plenty of factors that point to Russian invasion, you have the social factor of the 2014 Maidan revolution, the economic factor of Donbass being rich in coal, iron and relatively big oil and gas deposits, the political factor of having yet another pro-western, pro-EU and pro-NATO country on your doorstep and Putin's ideas of revanschism, calling Ukrainians an integral part of Russia and calling them brothers 2. Antagonization of Russia dates as far back as the 18th and 19th centuries, the English, Turkish and Germans were always opposed to Russian imperialism, look at The Great Game for example, this isn't even mentioning the decades of communist hysteria from the 50's to the 90's 3. Ukraine DID prepare to defend itself - locally, the vast majority of Ukraine's fortifications and defensive lines are located in the Donbas region, my guess is that they quite literally never thought about an invasion at a national scale, only a local intervention in Donbas (cont.)

I don't think NATO was THE reason but Instead one of the reasons.
I believe Ukraine was going to take back Crimea and Russia couldn't let that slide.

4. I'd also like to add the Minsk and Minsk-II """agreements""" Looking at it, they seem like a great solution to Donbas conflict, giving autonomy to DPR and LPR - however, both sides have violated the agreements on so many occasions that effectively they mean nothing, yes large scale fighting did stop, but local skirmishes, bombing, etc... still continued Without a neutral, non-biased peacekeeping force I believe that Minsk and Minsk-II could have stayed in place with both sides being happy Crimea had a referendum, voted for independence then voted for Russian annexation, so it is completely just for them to be integrated into Russia
Hunter Howard
That was one of the things I wasn't able to confirm when I did the timeline as OSCE data lacks information on who fired first.
It was mostly pacific after Minsk 2 but started to escalate a lot like 2 weeks prior.
Christopher Jones
How should they have managed this They couldn't just attack Russia
Michael Ramirez
With all the aid they were already getting from NATO and UK and US
Kayden Turner
>Why do you think Putin invaded? Because the west weaponized Ukraine against Russia and built Europe's biggest army there. Then Zelensky started to whine for nuclear weapons. That was the moment when the Russians started the invasion.
Christian Torres
1. Business 2. Russia has manlet syndrome as 2nd world power of the world and being surrounded by it's rivals tries to flex itself to show to the world what a "power" they are 3. Resources 4. There were several big protests against Putin before the whole Ukrainian shitshow, the situation for Russians was so bad that gays, nazis, commies and monarchists were protesting together before the Donbass war and before the Ukrainian total invasion was the issue with Navalny so the whole point of war could be to distract the people

So you wanna gather information so you can manipulate the minds of those who see you !! we’re not gonna tell you it’s classified and encrypted in our mines go fuck yourself
Elijah Roberts
>so you can manipulate the minds of those who see you !!
>the whole point of war could be to distract the people This. I was hoping it would end covid too but people still cling to it to feel all self important
Minsk 2 ended without Ukraine actually caring about the agreement. Russia did what it said it would in such case. Russia was allowed legally to fuck Ukraine’s shit up as per Minsk 2.

This is some shillbitchass. No need to reply to this thread.

/uhg/ is literally nothing but shills, bots, and r*dditers who’ve been ordered to camp out on Any Forums by their kike masters. They aren’t really part of the board
Regardless of the source, this war is a more massive nigger chimpout than every BLM riot put together. They invade Ukraine "to hold off NATO", only for Finland and Sweden to join as well. Bravo, Putin!
Something not yet mentioned is the attempted color revolution in Kazakhstan. Unless Russia did something to push the Western glowniggers back on their heels that shit was going to keep happening. Not saying this was the only reason but it was A reason.
