While the Ottawa Freedom Convoy held the attention of most Canadians in February of this year, ordinary Albertans also blockaded the southern border crossing at Coutts. In frigid temperatures they held the line, and met every day in the town to discuss strategy, negotiate with police, and held prayers. Certain provincial MLA's even came down with their families to honor the spirit of freedom and resistance to tyranny alive in Alberta. Initially lacking manpower, the RCMP attempted to negotiate peacefully. As time went on however, their numbers became larger and their demeanor became more demanding instead of compromising. In the end, a few arrests and "seizure" of weapons from a nearby farm ended the blockade.
Never in my thirty-wtwo years of life have I felt such burning patriotism as I did when witnessing the Coutts blockade and Ottawa Protest. This country is based on nothing and singing the Canadian national anthem is hollow and superficial. But the actions of ordinary Albertans and Ottawa Protestors is tangible. It's David standing up against Goliath. It's mature adults exercising their sovereignty to tell the regime "I no longer consent."
I hereby propose that Coutts Alberta shall have erected a statue commemorating the brave men and women who braved freezing temperatures to protect themselves, their families, and all Albertans from tyranny.

The Free State of Ontario stands with our sovereign brothers and sisters in Alberta. Unification is our collective destiny. >See you in the Union lads
>RCMP sabotaged Patriot vehicles in bad faith RCMP sabotaged PRIVATE EQUIPMENT legally stored on private property because they FEARED it could be used in the blockades.
>I hereby propose that Coutts Alberta shall have erected a statue commemorating the brave men and women who braved freezing temperatures to protect themselves, their families, and all Albertans from tyranny.
>independent alberta would be freer than america. Unincorporated Territory of the US would have the best of both: 1. Right to live an work anywhere in the US. 2. No need for international treaties/agreements (AB is landlocked) 3. No US Federal income taxes for Unincorporated Territories. 4. US will spend BILLIONS to build and maintain military bases to keep out those filthy eastern bastards. 5. Alberta writes her own criminal code (constitutional carry, death penalty for murderers, long sentences for joggers). >independent alberta Q: What will the "Laurentian Elite" do in order to PREVENT Alberta Independence? A: ANYTHING, up to and including false flag terrorism. See Spain/Catalonia independence referendum below: twitter.com/josepalay/status/1480947545836765186 >Spanish former police chief admits that the Spanish secret services (CNI) were behind the jihadist attacks in Barcelona, August 2017. Their intention was ‘to scare Catalonia just before the independence referendum.’ 16 people from various nationalities were killed.
>I hereby propose that Coutts Alberta shall have erected a statue commemorating the brave men and women who braved freezing temperatures to protect themselves, their families, and all Albertans from tyranny. This 100%. The patriots can add Coutts to the roll of honour. They have Lexington and Concord. We have Coutts and Windsor. Our grandchildren will learn one day how free people, in beautiful association, stood up to tyranny and reclaimed their birthright. >I will donate to a crowd funded statue when the time comes
I suppose we will have to approach the Coutts town council about this and get a motion passed. If they approve but the question of cost comes up we could open up a crowdfunding page. They could set up a committee of design to vote on a finalist design and decide where to put the statue.

>Why didn't they block the fucking trans canada instead of some meaningless border crossing that was closed anyway. Because this was in Alberta, same as asking why Texas protestors didn't block Tijuana/San Diego.
Other protesters DID close the Ambassador bridge between Detroit/Windsor and that was part of what triggered the Martial Law (Emergency Measures Act).
I always wish I went to it but I was still working. Would have shown up with a Mexican flag, maybe someone would have let me ride a horse since I grew up on a ranch. The only Mexican I saw was a white Mexican at the Ottawa protest. I would have looked so out of place but the Mexican spirit would have fit right in. I hope one day all of North America can be free. I'm half white Canadian before any of you get all pissy.
Get your sovereignty act passed, then have your premier send a delegation to Washington to begin unification talks. As soon as Alberta is admitted, the rest of Canada will be forced to admit that we are no longer nationally viable and begin unification as well. Everything we like about being 'Canadian' are states rights issues in their system. We can have single payer healthcare, provincial dairy boards etc etc, but most importantly we get their Dollar and their Constitution. Without both of those, we will end up in a state of impoverished tyranny up here.

>Many of the candiates have publicly stated the vaccine has killed people and have denounced the WEF. Reminder, Danielle Smith talks a good game, but she will be a DISASTER once in power. >When Theresa May was PM, her BREXIT negotiations consisted of: Preemptively give the EU EVERYTHING IT WANTS FIRST, then try to negotiate something of benefit for UK. Keep that in mind when listening to Danielle Smith excerpt below when asked about Alberta Independence.
Danielle Smith in her own words wants to "FIX" Canadian Confederation or "Refederation" in Smith's words.
I agree in principle to your proposal. However with how bloated and corrupt the US federal government is, along with the current Biden insanity, I am weary of being in favor. It would be easier economically for sure.
I guess being our own sovreign nation allows better local control. Yet the advantages of entering the Union are staggering.

Why does Alberta pride have to be dumb re-hashed American neo-conservatism?

Thanks for this. Her claiming she will "fix" Alberta's position in Confederation is a pipe dream. That's like an outsider with little power walking into the NYC mafia scene and claiming she's going to take over a chunk of the established turf.

Because a lot of Americans immigrated here through Montana in the 1800s and early 1900s. The rough and rugged frontier of rural Alberta tends to attract men and women desiring freedom and independence on the land.

>I'm half white Canadian before any of you get all pissy Some people of Mexican ancestry are rock solid. Those Americans use the American Flag, and would tell la Raza to la Fuck Off.
I disagree. Until recently, pro-Alberta sentiments were more socialistic.

a lot of interesting people revealed themselves during the protests. omar khadr showed up at the edmonton convoy in support. they really cut straight through society with this shit.
