I am not even talking about Soviets still alive, rather about the ones that lived under Stalinism and have been dead for some time now. They were all raped but not a single one refused to participate in the kosher war or tried to sabotage. They fought so hard for a shithole that punished them 24/7. Did they think they will be rewarded if they won the war?

There were plenty of defectors in the early phases of the war, which I think is one of the reasons behind the incompetence of the red army during the first year. The problem was that the Germans squandered most of the good will by being terrible overlords, which lead to the Soviets citizenry aligning themselves with the partisan movement, which in turn lead to a sunk cost fallacy.
After the war, the Nuremberg trials and the victory pretty much whitewashed Stalin until Khrushev came to power

It really is hard to know just how much the USSR produced and just how strong their economy was because the Jews were so secretive about it but the growth in the 50's was largely due to new conquered territory, german slave labor, german factories taken as reparations as well as other tech transfers.
