Family Buys Electric Car, Battery Costs More Than Car

>Avery Siwinski is a 17-year-old whose parents spent $11,000 on a used Ford Focus Electric car, which is a 2014 model and had about 60,000 miles when it was bought, according to KVUE.
>The teenager had the car for six months before it began giving her issues and the dashboard was flashing symbols.
>"It was fine at first," Siwinski said. "I loved it so much. It was small and quiet and cute. And all the sudden it stopped working."
>The Ford dealership had advised us that we could replace the battery," said her grandfather, Ray Siwinski. "It would only cost $14,000."
>However, the family found out that there weren't any batteries of that type available anymore because the Ford model is discontinued.

Buying a car is an IQ test. If you bought a coal-powered "electric" car, you failed the test.

>family of retards still fail to realize they are retards

It's like a subscription service

electric vehicles will create the need for "energy rationing"

wow, good thing no one EVER bought a ICE powered car and had it immediately conk out with expensive repairs. that's TOTALLY UNHEARD OF

Unless every part of the car is failing simultaneously even the most expensive repairs on an ICE car top out at $2000 which is better than spending $14k to change a battery

Electric vehicles have enormous potential but they are built by retards.

Tesla's 1922 Pierce Arrow ran off atmospheric electricity which can be captured with an antenna as seen with Corona motors.

The whole world we know is built wrong to maximize profits instead of benefiting society as any rational civilization would do.

Modern humanity is the most insane human group in all of human history. We are savage and stupid beyond comprehension. The ancients would be appalled.

If you're buying cars in 2022, you're really low IQ.

The fall of civilization was 1912-1919. We live in the ruins of something far greater than we will ever be.

A lot of people will have no choice.... they quietly raises ethanol concentration in gas from 10% to 15%. This will destroy every car that uses carburetors and most fuel injection systems too since they will need to be recalibrated to handle the altered mix

I'm aware of this and a lot of other stuff, so that makes me greater than most.

The fall of civilization first initiated around the 1880s.

HG Wells and others warned us of what was to come.

War of the Worlds is about industrialists and monopolization.

We are now careening into a new dark age thanks to obscene levels of greed.

New Ford Broncos

Corrodes the entire fuel system and motor components it comes in contact with yeah

Get a bike, or walk, or even a scooter. Anything is better than a car.

>paying for the car
>paying for license
>paying for insurance
>paying for registration
>paying for inspection
Like holy shit

So just buy a new car?

We put up with this shit for printers too...

After the plastic melts, and the people who create society are displaced, there will be nothing of value left in America.

I have a vintage motorcycle that I only put non-ethanolated gas in, and a road bike for anything within 2 miles.
But that isn't the point.

Dealership swindled them. They knew the car was on its last leg.

I hear what you're saying, and am aware. It's all part of their plan to cause chaos in the coming years.

>buying an 8 year old used electric car
You gotta be pretty dumb to buy a new one, but an 8 year old one? Fucking braindead

that's not the problem with ethanol and there are problems other than ethanol in modern gas, there's some guy who will probably spam his copypasta about it if this threads stays up, focusing on BTEX ( google.com/search?q=btex gasoline )
ethanol will foul every part of your fuel system IF it sits for extended periods in humid weather, it will then corrode metal and eat seals and foul filters and plugs and injectors and pumps - google.com/search?q=ethanol phase separation

at 15% it's not terrible, but it is a form of false advertising, because it's not cheaper as it should be
just don't let it sit, don't leave the tank 1/2 full

if you have a carb'd older engine yeah you're fucked, the internals also cannot handle ethanol, seals and such
