I feel conflicted, I agree people should stop being fat lazy hogs and get their food themselves instead of relying on a system to bring it to their doorstep. On the other hand I hate these food delivery services and it brings me joy knowing people are exploiting it and its workers (who are also being double exploited by their "employer" who supposedly doesn't pay wages). These are fake jobs and should be treated as such.

This doesn't really relate to door dash as much as Instacart, but there some people who are legitimately disabled and rely on this to get their groceries. Some don't have family or friends who are willing to help them, and they actually depend on these services.

Special rules allows them to be paid less than other workers. It’s just a sneaky way to pass costs on, instead of being honest and charging more for the delivery.

Entitlement economy

Delivery and ride share pays absolute dogshit. Then again why are you putting yourself through that when there are any number of jobs you could be doing. Much more productive jobs where you don’t have to rely on tips. The only people that do these things are those that have absolutely zero skills to offer society.

No. There are definitely more than a few obnoxious and entitled workers in this country who expect extra money for doing nothing but the vast majority of jobs that receive most of their pay in tips pay much less than minimum wage. They are legally required to make of whatever difference exists at the end of a shift if not enough is made in tips but these jobs just have managers that will blame you for not working hard enough,
