People use the phrase "clown world" so much its become overplayed, but its one of the best ways of concisely describing what's happened to our world since 2016. Everything has become crazy, deranged, and illogical. The state of the world culturally, politically, geopolitically and economically right now is like some kind of satire. If you had written the script of 2016-2022's major political and cultural events and sent it 10 years back in time to 2022, people would have called it ridiculous and overdramatic. And yet, it's all happened.
The level of cultural change that has occurred between the years 2016 and 2022 is simply ludicrous, in particular. At times it literally does not feel like we are living in the same world anymore. It's too much change to take place in the span of just 6 or 7 years. 2015 feels culturally like it could have been 20 years ago, it's that far separated from the reality we live in today.
You're a lot more optimistic than me. Personally, I see little to no pushback on the clowniest shit that goes on in 2022. Everything from censorship, to cancel culture, to "woke" in media, to transgenderism, to the stripping of individual rights, is blindly accepted by the normalfags I know. It feels like a permanent shift in the fabric of reality. People don't behave like normal human beings anymore. I know people who went in the opposite direction, they were hyper-critical and skeptical of progressive bullshit in 2015, but by 2022 they've become accepting of it and think "whats the harm". It's demoralising.
