James Webb Space Telescope Stores Images On A 68GB SSD

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Virgin ssd vs chad hard disk

>$10 billion
>68gb ssd
who fucking built this, Alienware?

Kek

Fake news so such thing as 68 Gb SSD

Was probably installed 30 years sgo so what.

so what 10k writes or so then its fubar for life and they thought 68 gb was good enough not 1 terabyte. they could have put a fucking sd tf (micro sd) with ore storage space than 68 gb wtf. is it always going to be low res stuff because at the price it should be 4k standard images but i have found zero 4k images

This isn't a telescope is it, it's something else..

kek

The truth is mostly likely that their is no actual telescope, they stole our tax dollars and just hired some one to shop some photos.

Imagine believing in space.

>what is a datalink

Softimage

>NO GPU
>NO GNU/LEENUX
>NO SUDO APT INSTALL LIB-NIGGERS
>TINY ASS HARD DRIVE
>NO LEDS
>NO SPINNAN CUBES
NO RICE, NO LIFE. 6.15/10 JAMES WEBB SPACE TELESCOPE. SOMEBODY CALL 9-1-1 SHAWTY FIRE BURNIN' ON THE DANCE FLOOR, WOOD SCREWS!

he cant even install warzone hhaha what a noob

Niggerbrain.

>depicting yourself as a gorilla
Accurate.

Many here don't understand how telescopes work let alone how JWST works, many here don't understand how photons are collected, many here don't understand that 68 Gb is more than enough, and even if you need more, it's more like excess weight, which adds to excess calculations of the dynamics of the telescope, and that adds in a few billions, there's always gonna be some drawbacks, there's always gonna be some engineering compromises in terms of capacity being limited thanks to being such a harsh environment.

But of course, I cannot go ahead and explain to a bunch of chuds who barely passed high school, about all of this.

Is there a fucking warehouse of you retards just waiting for somebody to mention space so you can show you retard power levels?

Ayy lmao

He just believes in evolution, user.

Cope poorfags

its mining ayycoin

>LOOOOOOL HAHA LOW CAPACITY = INFERIOR
You’re literally a niggerbrain

I read somewhere that it can only transfer a certain amount of data in a given day, and only at two 4 hour hour intervals. It was likely an engineering decision made in 2004 because that's how long ago this was designed.

>Much capacity
>Not even an nvme m.2
Cope poorfag

this guy gets it
I mean they are using the exact same pictures that Hubble made just tweaked them a little

Maybe your spaceball isn't as widely accepted as you were led to believe.

Lost

It’s infrared, Hubble was visual. JWST wasn’t designed to produce pretty pictures though, it was built for the cosmology fags to test Big Bang theory.

by the way Hubble pics were faked too
the thing didn't even work

only pc fags will get this

Attached: holyfuck.jpg (1468x1468, 288.71K)

Hubble was faked too
it didnt even work right and the Webb picture look identicle?

wow that thing looks totally real

real CGI bro

it looks like something a fucking 3d porn game maker would post.

Man, schizos are getting out of hand on pol these days.

It's just embarrassing at this point

can you imagine how long this NASA scam will continue?
it's been 50 fucking years.
people are wearing NASA t-shirts cause they all showed up at WINNERS 2 years ago to act as pro-NASA propaganda

based

from 2000 era

>I got 100TB of SSD
>NASA can't even afford 100GB

>the Webb picture look identicle?

Well, faked or not, why would you expect it to look different?

I mean, the horse head nebula is always going to look like the horse head nebula no matter if you use a backyard telescope, Hubble, or JWST.

unfortunately no, 3d porn game makers nowadays make shit like that

Kek, agreed.
An M.2 would be bigger, faster and save weight on launch.
Really makes you hmmmm...

JUST

I believe this

Lol that pic looks so shopped
Is this official images of le satellite for le reddit onions guys?
Also space doesn't exist

These SSDs are expensive because they need to be shielded from external factors such as radiation. NASA didn't use a consumer SSD kek

A fukin 1tb 980 nvme was 120$ a week ago....

>Why so small?
An interpretation by Tom's Hardware notes that it's important to realize that it's virtually impossible to compare hardware that works in space orbit and what works down on the earth.
The vastly different conditions in space could easily wreck a regular hard drive.

>HDD
i see NASA kikes paid a kike tech review company "Tom's hardware" to lie, the SSD is not a mechanical hard drive.

68GB is a lot for space tech. You have to keep in mind that everything needs to be redundant and hardened against radiation. Consumer grade SSD would probably die after a couple of days or would have constant issues with data integrity.

the hubble mirror was borked it would be distorted compared to a good one even with the band aid they put on it

wrap with lead
that was hard

>Lol that pic looks so shopped
No shit Sherlock.
Did you really think they would spend millions launching a camera to look at the giant camera?
>ngmi.

Lmao nice one
