Probably something related to genetics. Seems like manlets were the ones making big impact majority of the times in history. Tall people do too, but it's rare in comparison. Maybe tall people feel like life is too easy to try hard?

Could also be an estrogen thing too, Although most of height is genetic, a lot of it also has to do with how much testosterone one obtains during puberty. Males with low testosterone will have longer time to grow. So it's possible a good portion of tall bros may not have achieved it by genetics, but rather lack of testosterone. If that's the case, then it could make sense why they don't try to conquer the world.

So yeah, I would say it's either hormone reasons, life on easy mode reasons, or simply a genetic reason.

Average height is mostly increasing because of lack of testosterone in the youth. If you neuter a cat or a dog they'll grow longer. Same applies to humans in regards of lack of testosterone.

Of course genetics and nutrition is a factor as well. But there was rich people back in the day who also had good genes and were well fed but were still short compared today. I would argue that the lack of testosterone allows kids to grow further more-so.
