Because white music (besides country) has failed to connect with many modern day white Americans. Music is a reflection of the current zeitgeist. In our modern world, the goal for men is to accumulate assets and capital with which to be able to provide for a family. Personal feelings about living off the grid aside people need money to survive. Listening to music from Drake for example you will notice there is a general theme of making money over chasing women. White music doesn’t have this. Heavy metal is usually about gothic tradition or inflicting pain. That is not conducive to providing for one’s family. The music reflects reality not vice versa.
