no, in fact, I don't even think there is a gay marriage controversy in the docket (im not sure though) for the court. Its just that you have a court that is more conservative than it has been in the past. That being said, biden is such a weak president/advocate/puppet that he can't use the executive to its full potential to push back on the court so its the perfect time to make controversial rulings.
