It's not and any serious scientist would tell you this. There is a finite amount of kinetic and potential energy in the universe. We know this because it is being exchanged into heat energy and space. This is how the universe expands. The second law of thermodynamics states that the sum total of entropy (disorder) in the universe can only increase in any given process (there is a large mathematical proof proving this true) This holds true for the expansion as well, so that means there is a quantity of entropy in the universe, which is always increasing. Eventually the quantity of usable energy will reach zero. This is often referred to as the "heat death of the universe" It is a mathematical inevitability.
Because we know the energy in the universe will run out, we know it had to begin running out at some point. If the universe infinitely existed, this would not be the case. Infinity has to expand in both directions. If the universe has an end, and we know it does, it's not infinite.

The only argument I can make for the Christian God without the Bible is a decent one, but not very convincing unless you want to believe. It is as follows:
