Russia's victory in the war in Ukraine will shake the foundations of NATO.
Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, in an interview with Fox News, noting that the current war in Ukraine is reminiscent of the First World War, said that if one side clearly wins, it will have profound consequences.
He said that from Washington's point of view, if Russia manages to keep the occupied territories of Ukraine, this will shake the foundations of NATO, and added that in mid-August a big battle is coming in Ukraine and serious decisions will have to be made.
The current war with Russia is a battle the West cannot afford to lose, he said.

He also said his suggestion is a 'negotiation to take things back to how they were before the invasion began', which is silly because it would mean Russia still having the active conflict zone in the Donbas. It's also silly because it isn't going to happen, there's no way to roll back to before february now, and if there were it would just be kicking the can down the road. This is another example of Kissinger advocating for short termist foreign policy which would blow up in everyone's face a few years down the line.

The thing is WW2 following WW1 is exactly what happens when there's no clear victor. Germany did not suffer a decisive defeat, angloids just shat into everyone's pants at the most important moment when they activated the Russian revolution and German socialists and ended the war politically. 1. "I recommend we negotiate the Russian surrender where Russia gives everything back."
Which is retarded, BUT with this statement, Kissinger can honestly claim he is not the one recommending Ukraine cede land.
2. Then Kissinger says after the disclaimer answer no. 1, "BUT if Ukraine decides to negotiate a peace and recognize russias ownership of whichever parts of Ukraine, well then that's their choice."
So I read it as Kissinger is floating the idea Ukraine might cede land to end this war, but he isn't recommending it himself, just floating it out there as a reality for the future.
As usual Kissinger is more honest, pragmatic and smart than all the other professional liars/zogbots out there.

Russia cant lose. The reason is that our motive in the Ukrainian war stems from an existential threat to our existence. There's virtually no price that's too high in this war. That's not the case in the west. Its a minor regional conflict, that aside from glowies nobody really cares about. As soon as people fed up with insane inflation and energy prices European view on war will rapidly shift as it draws closer to the elections. And without the west Ukraine stands no chance.

The problem is always how to end the war? As long as Ukraine exists, they will have weapons delivered to them to continue the war. This could get problematic for Russia.
