Why are so many straight men terrified of being parents? I've never seen a good argument as to why they shouldn't take care of the baby. Because men have no authority in being a father in these days. It doesn't matter if you are the ideal tradcon, divorce is always an option on the female end. The way society is shifting, child rearing has gone from a family-style system to a child support system. Because most millennials and all zoomers have extreme aversion to responsibility. They think life is a party and kids consume a lot of time and financial resources. I mostly blame boomers for this - they pampered and spoiled these brats (self-included), failed to discipline them or instill the value of hard work, handed out participation trophies, and threw parties for every occasion, showering their children with gifts without requiring anything from them. It created two generations of weak men and women, both morally and constitutionally, that don't know how to be adults. These three generations of ever-weaker people are self-absorbed, histrionic, narcissists who think the world owes them something. It doesn't.
