Basically, trans rights means being treated with dignity, respect, and equality just like everyone else.

This is similar to lesbian/bi/ace/gay rights in that it means nondiscrimination, protection from attacks of hate, representation in all aspects of society, adequate healthcare, being able to openly live as your true self, etc.

It is distinct in the sense that lesbian/bi/ace/gay rights often involve matters of sex or relationships, whereas transrights tends to involve matters of social presentation and access to gendered spaces.

Say that, for example, 20 years ago if you were a nerd playing videogames you were picked up at school. And bullied. Should have gamers protested for their rights, whatever they may be?
People do all sort of things, and have all sorts of hobbies. And other people are all sort of pieces of shit and bullies others for whatever reason.
There is no trans rights because there is no trans human infrigment on the law (assuming you live in the west and can marry etc etc).
