The convenience mentality is the ultimate explanation of the NPC phenomena. It's all an act where the lies are obvious, but truth doesn't matter. Only the performance does. Truth isn't even weighed as having potential value. The NPC does not lack information. What they lack is caring. It's a spiritual problem, not an intellectual one.
