I somehow don't understand the full timeline of the Antonov airport and Gostomel as the town battles. So at first, VDV came in, took the airport and were sucesfull with virtually no casualties, then the hohols tried to take back the airport at least 5000 times and claimed that it changed hands 5000 times but in the end, it still remained under VDV control. During this time, ground forces tried to break through hohol lines and get to the airport to reinforce the troops, most of the reinforcements being chechens, if I remember correctly. During the phase of reinforcement, the guys who tried to reinforce the VDV got some heavy casualties in the town of Gostomel itself, didn't they? There's plenty of videos/photos of destroyed equipment and dead guys, nearly none of them VDV but most just regular army units. Did I understand the timeline correctly or not?
