Those usually have armed security on-site and they're usually a lot more competent than "school safety officers" because they're hired from the private sector and are used to having to fight off hecklers.

Because banks and hospitals typically have armed guards. Mass shooters are generally cowards and thus always pick “gun free XD” zones like schools where they know they won’t likely meet any armed resistance.
Most cowards would see the cop/guard at a place and change their mind before attacking a trained and armed professional.
