Less contaminates and additives, the food (while still being saturated slop) was more natural that the crap that is being churned out today. Most of the coffee shops and breakfast menu items from these restaurants are all frozen and sealed up in bags and they heat it up in a microwave and serve it. It's never fresh
Back in the 90s and earlier, Tim hortons used to bake all their goods in store and it used to be fresh, donuts and timbits were made by hand in store..Now it's all just frozen food, repackaged and served.

I dont remember anything in the US tasting better in the 90s. My best memories are eating downstairs with my friends family since my mom who rented from them was a terrible cook and a vegetarian to boot. Which is probably why im shorter than my dad with mild rickets. Its like I knew I had to get better nutrition but it was too late.
