I work as EVS in a hospital, and yeah at first I was debating on quitting. I was scared as fuck to come to work and go into covid patient rooms and clean. Big ass HEPA filters going loud in every room, couldn't even hear people talking while standing right next to you.
But here's the thing: I got Covid...and it wasn't that bad. Everyone got it at work. We took a week off and just came right on back. I just had 2 weeks of being weak, having a horribly painful dry cough, and sleeping all day. It passed.
So where are we now? Shit, nurses stopped even closing the doors in the rare covid rooms we do get. No one - including the nurses or the docs - even suit up for covid rooms. Hell, covid patients walk around the halls and their room doesn't even have the HEPA filters in it...they were all taken out over a year ago. The new addition to the hospital they build for covid patients? It's un-used and is just a place where we store broken beds and cleaning carts.
Nobody cares anymore because we all know it was highly over-exaggerated and it's just a very very slightly more deadly flu and it's no different than a bad cold.

Anyone who is still wearing a mask outside or still fears covid is as fucking retarded as you can get and should be shot on sight to save the species.
