Reminder that NATO Article 5 does NOT force NATO members to go to war for each other, if one gets attacked. They only have to provide support. In any way that they feel is appropriate.
When someone attacks Lithuania, the USA does not have to join the war and throw nukes at the aggressor. If they send some weapons, Article 5 is fulfilled.
It is a very common misconception. Somehow everybody always thinks that an attack on a NATO country would be the same as an attack on US soil. That just is not the case.

If anyone doubts that, just think about Iceland. Iceland has no military. No standing army. No airforce. They have a coast guard, that is it. They can not provide military support or join a war for anyone. It is impossible.
If Article 5 would say what normies think it says - it would mean that Iceland is in instant-violation as soon as it gets triggerd. And it already got triggered in the past for 9/11.
