She's actually in the district now, serving as an elected member of the House. That's what fucked with so many leftists' minds: she defeated a Democrat 51% to 43%, and that election was under old districting that was Biden +4, meaning she legitimately flipped the district. The November race is under new redistricting that will be Biden+16, and she's competing against another sitting Congressman, Vincente Gonzalez.
